Oil Change for newbie

Quick question in regards to oil change.

I'm going to Walmart to pick up the 5qt Mobil 1 Extended Performance motor oil. I'll be stopping by Autozone to pick up K&N 1008 Air filter. ($26 + 12).

Do I pour in all 5 quarts on my FX35? or is it 4._ _?

Also, what do you guys think about Mobile 1 EP and K&N filter?

Welcome to iS. I believe foe the FX35 it is 5 quarts and possibly 1/2 to 1 more. Many threads on this topic already so a search will help answer your questions. If you use mobile 1 and change every 4-5k miles you wont need the EP. And the K&N filter is a good investment.

Fluid Capacities ///137

K&N 1006 will also work ///6539 This is a larger filter, so you might need to check the oil level and add if needed.

has anyone installed the oil filter for the fx45 into a fx35?
I was looking at the two the other day and noticed the fx45 is slightly larger filter.
They both cost the same (mobile1 full synthetic oil and filter is all i use)

i used mobil 1 ep with fram 6x filtejust today..... only bc fram is eay to work with with their gripper filters...

I've always used Mobil 1 ep 5w-30, but recently went with M1 advanced fuel economy 0w-30, didn't see a difference, so I'm probably going back. Though I'm hearing really good things about royal purple and amzoil 5w-30. So I'm contemplating on going with one of those. Is anyone familiar with the two?

BTW Costco has on sale right now 3/1 gal of Chevron Delo 400 Motor Oil SAE 15W-40 for $35. Would that be an efficient motor oil for the FX35 in Winter?

here's an 03' G35 running on Delo 400 15w40:
