Bluetooth issue--sound only out of front right speaker?

Quick question. Just picked up a 2007 FX35 this past weekend and after setting up the bluetooth, i noticed the sound ONLY comes out of the front right speaker. It sounds OK like this but i'm curious if this is a common issue, a malfunction or supposed to be like this. I'm sure it would be covered by warranty, but i figured i'd ask here first to see if there's some way to fix this on my own. Thanks for the assistance.

By the way, besides loving this design since it came out (right after i bought my Q45t), i did a ton of research on this car including packages, features, performance etc and always found the answers i needed on this site. I was waiting to register until i finally pulled the trigger and got the FX, but this site is amazing! Already sad the Q45 is gone. haha

Welcome to the Scene and congrats on the FX! I don't have a 07 but I would think the center speaker is where voice sounds would come out of unless it is a selectable feature on the BT system on the 07 FX. In either, warranty would be dependent on the mileage on the vehicle. But I would think a 07 would be within the warranty period.

thanks for the quick response. Yeah, it's an 07 with about 19K miles so it's all still covered. I just couldn't find any info regarding which speakers will be in operation when the bluetooth is engaged. It sounds like the ringing goes through the center speaker though the actual conversation comes from the far right. Weird right? I guess i will bring it in if i can't find anything else on here or online about this. It's not a huge deal but i definitely want it working the right way.

Yes, its the first time I have heard of such an issue with the BT, but then again my Fx model year did not come with a oem BT system so I have not read much about it. However, when I installed my moto BT IHF1000 we used the center speaker as the output. But on my lexus the conversation comes thru the driver's side speaker. It doesn't make sense for the conversation to go through the passenger side speaker.

It comes out the far right speaker on my 07 as well - just assumed that was the way it was designed. You can raise the volume using the stearwheel control which is nice since it is always too low for my deaf ears (wish I could configure it to play at a higher volume by default).

glad i'm not the only one then! the oddest part is that the ring comes out of the center. I have terrible hearing as well and used the bluetooth in my GPS in my 98 Q45 unit because it was really loud and i always placed the GPS to the left of the steering wheel so i could use it while driving without looking away from the road. I'm still going to get the bluetooth checked out by the dealer when i get a chance to see if there's any way to get it to play through the center speaker.

I have an 07 that I picked up last Friday. Voices appear to come out of my center speaker when I'm talking via BT. I'm not sure if this is something that can be adjusted or not. Conversations come in very clear. As far as warranty goes my FX has a 4 year 60k mile bumper to bumper so I would assume that yours would be the same.

So i did some tests tonight and could feel the reverb coming through the center. Held my head over the center speaker during a conversation and sure enough, it was coming out of the center (though it appears to also have some sound coming from the far right. You might want to turn the volume way up on a conversation and put your head up there. Regardless, i have no idea why it sounds like it's coming from only the right. Really odd. Still think it should come out of of the left speaker but not a big deal...
