What size tires to put on 22s?

the 285 is going to be lower than stock. I personally didn't like it since it put even more gap above the tire.

I used to have 265/40 and it was OK. I recently did the 305/35 and it's the same diameter as the 265.

265MM X 40% = 106mm Sidewall
285mm X 35% = 99.75mm Sidewall
305mm X 35% = 106.75mm Sidewall

.7MM is about 1/4 of an inch which equals to 1/2" total in diameter of the Tire. Lowering Springs give you about a 1.2" drop. This means with a 1/4" more gap, above your tire, your ride will look less "dropped".

305mm is 12". depending on the wheel, you'll have 2-3" wider tire than your wheels. Most wheels are 9.5" This means that you'll have a 1 1/4 of an inch "bulge" on each side. According to Dave, you'll have most of that on the inner side.

265mm is about 10.43". this means that you'll have less than 1/2" on each side.

Some of us spend $75 or so on Whell Spacers to give us an extra 1/2 to 1" to fill the fender gap. I had to take my front and rear spacers off and it looks great.

Remember, 20MM extra in width is only 3/4 of an inch, but 40mm differance between 265 and 305 is 1.5 inches. I would either go with the 265 or 305.

Also, as Stu mentioned, 305 will give you great Lip protection.

Does your 305 rub? Only reason I didn't get it as I know 265/40 doesn't for sure.

rubbing is not a matter of just the width, it's more a matter of where it's centered in the wheelwell, 315's don't rub at all if there centered in the well correctly, it's more a matter of offset combined with the width itself to determine if it'll rub or not...

Im gonna add this one to my album. nice Pic

How would 305/40-22 Look? I need a good tie, the sizes I looked up came back with little results?

I dont think anyone is running a 305/40....you can be the first. I think most are 285 or 295. I think Dr2k is running 305 but in a 35 series I believe.

yeah, a 305/40 is too tall, a 305/35 is the same diameter as the stock 20's if you wanted to go 305's all around...

305 all around can work with the right offsets & will not work well or rub with the wrong offsets.

I'm running a 315 in the back but that's really kinda wide for the front, I did a staggered setup though, so my fronts only 265/35, but it's about the same diameter as the rear, so it's all good with the awd ecu stuff. my tires are 1" smaller diameter though...

now that I think about it, I shouldn't say a 305/40 is too tall, but it is taller than stock. will used to run a taller than stock 20 & I thought it looked really good, makes the fx look beefy & lower, can def work too with the right wheel... & the fx will have less wheel gap & more sidewall which automatically makes it look even lower visually... so it's not really too tall...

only thing I wanted parada spec X's, but looks like p zero looks like my only choice. They got a bad review thats all. their the only ones who offer 305/35-22. whats the 295 setup?
