I rather not say how much the work cost me.. Only a few know and John definetly has an idea of how much it cost me.

All I know is that it was we worth the money to get it done just the way I want it.

Some more pics will come tonight I hope...or if not tomorrow night..

Bro the more I see it the more I like it.. As many said before agressive clean looks love it.

Rookie's FX is The Shit.. No lies.. But is just too much for me.. I like the fact that yours looks like a oem body kit.. Pretty much same concept john is going for..

Great job bro can't wait to see it all together!

ah, you haven't seen the sides yet though bro, he did get rid of the fender & quarter wheel opening moldings & this is full body with widened wheelwells more similar to viets, not stock body type at all
 
Yeah, it's gonna be basically Viet's but Bert puts his own twists into it, which is really nice. Obviously, the grille is one of the changes, as well as the LED's

Its funny John, Bert and I looked at Stu's photoshop of your ride, Berts sides came out almost exactly like the PS. and get rid of the antenna...lol

yeah, but he don't have those ugly wheel opening moldings anymore where I will still have them :tongue:

if I ditch the antenna then I'd also get rid of the sunroof personally...
 
The 1gen exterior has a timeless design, just wish we could get the 2gen interior installed. I wonder how the rear lights of the 09 would look on the older body style..
 
that would be crazy, get a wrecked fx50s & retrofit the whole interior & drivetrain to a first gen. very doable but $$$ it would probably be cheaper to just buy a 50s in the first place, a wrecked 50s will still be over 25k for sure unless it's completely burnt, & then it wouldn't be doable at that point anyway...

Lose the antenna man, SO much cleaner! Working on yanking my antenna (that doesn't sound so good) in an upcoming trip to the body shop. Waiting to hear back from Bert tonight to see if he experiences any AM/FM degradation due to his recent Antennaecotmy. IMO the cars look a LOT better minus the antenna, and the chrome rocker trim and the rear reflectors.......

I agree TC, the plastic wheel molding are weak. Such a BAD design carry over from our SUV heritage......
