Odd creaking noise while braking

My recently purchased 2006 FX35 started emitting a strange creaking noise from the driver side rear wheel when I gradually apply the brakes. Its not the typical worn out brakes squeak that indicates time for replacements. There seems to be plenty of brake pad life left so I don't know whats the deal. I checked on Consumer Report and was quite stunned that FX's braking system are terrible on their report. Fortunately my FX is still in warranty so I planned on taking it in soon. Any inputs?

This has started to happen to my car. I just recently got some Rotorpro Rotors and posi quiet brake pads installed. When I come to a complete stop or creep up slowly, a creaking noises emits from the brakes. It has been happening for a few days now and I assumed the rotors and the pads needed some break-in time. Additional information I can add is that it has been raining ever since I had the brakes put in. Has OP gotten this issue resolved? Does any FXer's have any idea or input they may add/suggest? Thanks in advance.

yeah i used to have the same problem.. Change all my brake pads twice in 3 months thinking that was the problem.. And it wasn't. Change the rotors and the sound disappear along with the steering wheel vibration..

Just to add to this. You might also encounter a clicking sound from the rear right wheel. This is something loose part of the emergency brake. Easily fix by ajusting the tension of the Ebrake.. I hope that help.

If you installed brand new rotors and pads.. Don't brake hard. Ride it till the FX stop.. Do pretty much brake in the rotors and pad. If you brake hard with them they will make the noise you are experiencing..

my 05 does this too. but only when backing up, and usually only when its cold. and i suspect it has to do with the parking brake as well. havent gotten a chance to look at it, not really worried but it is odd.

Creaking is still there after two weeks of installed date and now there is visible rust. So far I am not happy with Rotorpros rotors. I am also in the process of e-mailing Richard.
