Whats up fellas, I've been browsing the forums for a while, but finally signed up. Anyhow, I was thinking what you thought of Auto Couture rims...ie Aristo. They are a bit pricey, but I believe to be very nice. I'm basically looking for a matte black rim in mostly like 22" for my white 08 FX-35. I am open to suggestions.

My second question is if I'll have to to lower the car a bit for it to look clean? Now with the 22" rim, and lowering. Does it affect the ride dramatically. I remember when I had my civic and integ back in the day I would bounce all over the place.

Auto Couture was bought out or merged with Lexani. They generally can get bigger lips cause they use the less than major supplied for hoops. Still a decent brand

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I'm looking for decent rim for my ride. I'm pretty picky. Looking to spend 3-4g I think. I use to have your typical Japanese import and that was easy to shop for. Just slap some Volks on, and you were good to go. With the FX you pretty much need to go big (22), but the Ultraleggera doesnt look shabby. However, you have to drop it for that "Magazine look"

I went to a decent wheel shop near my house. Of course he showed me the SSR Vienna Zweel rim. Too bad they cost $5.900 just for the rims, its an amazing wheel. Also showed me this other company called XIX. They make a decent wheel called the "x19" and the price is dramatically cheaper. I also looked at some some Asanti wheels: AF112, AF116 and AF121. I'm still stuck on the auto-courture wheel too. Not sure if I wanna drop $4.500 though.
I'm pretty confused as to which direction wheel wise i should go (Euro/Japanese style) Any suggestions or comments?

personally, i think ROOKIE'S rims are the best looking rims for us (HRE ??? i dont know the model) it has the sporty looks but still looks luxury

go to superbuytires.com and check this out....(ZE Forged Tach SM) it's a little cheaper than HRE's but they look really good..i might sell mine and get these

ZE Forged actually looks pretty solid. I'm torn between a mesh type wheel (which looks good on a g35) or a thicker six spoke (ZE Shifter).

Alright, so my wheel search continues... So here's my question, I know someone locally who is selling 22" 648R HRE's for a reasonable price, but they are off a range rover sport. I presume the lug pattern wont fit? I believe FX is 5-114 and the Roger is 5-120?

Would anyone purchase a set of 20" HRE for their FX, or would do you think they would look to small. I think i'm at the point where Ill wait to find something used. R ather then buying them brand new, and then substantially lose a lot of money the minute i rdie them off the lot.

Thanks for the feedback, i appreciate it.

You're right at the first point, different bolt patterns.. As for the 20" question: IMO, any 20" rim with a lip looks like an 18 to my eyes.. I say if you want to go 20s, go lipless, if not, go with 22s.. Also, definitely drop them on some H&Rs.. Even the stockers look good with a drop..

Thanks for the reply and good point. Too bad, I they were exactly what i was looking for. I think I'm going wait and see if I can find a decent 22" wheel on E-bay. They actually have a decent selection. iForged has some wheels for sale on there. I presume its wheels people ordered and later canceled. If not I might just get some Ultraleggera HLT's and drop it with some H&R's.
