Show pics of your garage..

I am finally building a carport/garage, I call it this because my wife wants a carport but I built it with the idea in mind it can easily be converted to a garage.
I have left my vehicles outside all my life so even a carport is a blessing.
It is 22. x 35'.

I took all kinds of construction pictures but lost them all when my hard drive took a dump and they cannot be retrieved without major, major expense.

Here is a pic I found on my Photobucket showing the side of the house where it is being constructed on the hill
.

Here is a pic of it now, I am waiting for two 4' windows and a rear man door to arrive right now. Wiring is roughed in, steel roof is done, windows door exterior siding and interior still to be done. The other day we managed to get 4 vehicles in there.

Lol , that's it, the main difference is the door and completely closed in. I am getting all the walls insulated with the garage in mind for the future.

Wayne, that is very nice and large garage/carport. I love it when you can have large windows in there. I see large floor to ceiling windows/screen at that large side opening in the future and a fancy garage door; perhaps those clear acrylic one like at the dealer? At parents place in the City, we had a large garage & carport built for three cars. Later we enclosed the carport area (10' x 20') up and installed a couple windows and a 7' x 8' sliding patio door on the side of the carport faces the backyard. Love that build until this day. Dad, sister and my car never had to spent a night out on City street.

Just curious why Karen wanted a carport instead of garage?
We always use the side door of the house and we always leaves the inside door open and we get a nice breeze through the side screen door. She wanted to leave that door accessible so people didn't have to walk through the garage to get to the side door and also allow that breeze to blow in the side door, and we could easily see who comes to the door.

So I built it with the idea in mind that we could build the garage door wall inside the carport in the future. That way We would still have her side door open to the front of the carport and we would get the breeze and easy access and we could also have a garage further in the carport (although we would only be able to squeeze 2 cars in the garage then)

We are going to leave it open as a carport for this winter.

Fair enough. Did you tell her that none of that matters if everybody is hanging out in the swanky new garage anyways? :)
Perhaps a nice screen would make the little lady extra happy? Maybe save it for next spring/summer. If fact, it makes the perfect Mother's Day gift!

G'damn it Pork, why can't your garage be in NYC? I can work multiple projects there if your not use the space.

So here is a view from my garage... i.e. My idiot neighbor who if he isn't jamming his "freedom rock" or isn't annihilated drunk and thinking he can kick my ass or deluding himself that he can play that toy store guitar... I can continue but why.

Our very first conversation (mind you we NEVER spoke) was when he came marching over telling me I need a new exhaust (ya, he's a self anointed master mechanic)...I was blown away.. Guess he doesn't like Invidia!!!
What a douche.... I'm thinking of assassinating the reindeer.

but I digress
