I know this is a dumb question, But will a G35 axleback exhaust fit the on the FX..I know the tips need to be extended, but besides that. will this bolt up..
 
As long as it's for a coupe. tips will only need a little extension. Also, this goes for and G35 exhaust, except that the y-pipe won't fit since you are AWD.
 
Does anyone know how much it needs to be extended, Reason im asking i seen an Axleback muffler for a G35 coupe on ebay, and im thinking about trying it.

I know that a Z exhaust on a G is just tucked under the bumper, in that you don't see any tip when looking from above. They usually add I would estimate 2-3 inches to get to the more stock location. This is all based on pics though.
 
Ok question, And i need help on this...I had this exhaust put on, had the tips extended...but i dont know if i am being paranoid or is this not normal..the passenger side is pushing out more air then the driver side...And the passenger side is hotter then the driver side...

So can anyone with a stock exhaust please check your exhaust and let me know what yours is doing...Or anyone with an aftermarrket one..
 
No one has ever complained of your situation with a oem or the usual aftermarket exhausts that members have tried. The exhaust you have tried was more then likely poorly fabricated thus leading to your current situation. sometimes you just get what you pay for.

And let's keep things civil without the name calling we are all adults here.
 
A foot long piece of pipe (test pipes) costs more than that, and that's on the cheap end. You can't expect too much out of it. I knew I should have told you not to buy that.

All ebay exhaust are not bad, Go on the evo site and see what people are saying about Ebay exhausts, I had one and i loved it..

Who was name calling...i just said i dont need a smart ass response. Im looking for an answer..and what you said is what i was looking for...but also can soeone take 2 min and look at theres..
 
I remember reading about other exhaust that did the same thing.

Z -tec (spelling?), not really sure on the name, but members reported the same thing, one side had more flow than the other side.

It may be true that the muffler "favors" one side of the exit since its flows easier there.

Also yes I have bought many things from ebay myself (and get same comments from people here ) and they mostly turn out nice. But the price usually dictates the quality in the long run.

Like others have said to me, thanks for buying and testing that muffler out. Now we will have a member with 1st hand experience.
 
is there any negative to the one side biased flow?

also dom, do u have any sound clips? interested in hearing how this one sounds like. Btw thanks for taking the plunge and going for it :tup:
