FX Revving high before gear change

Ok from a dead stop or rolling at about 20mph I punch the gas and my FX revs past 4500rpms before it hits the next gear. Im taking it into the shop in the morning cause Im under warranty, but any ideas what this could be. I have the wheel/speed sensor still out and I read about someone saying that there fx was acting funny until they replaced it. Any ideas or experience with this rev issue? Thanks

I want to bro, but its 10PM here...lol. What do you think it could be if it does it in manual mode and what could it be if it does not do it in manual mode. I will definitely do it on the way to the shop in the morning. Thanks

Mine does rev higher in first until it shifts, compared to the same throttle pos on second and third. I always wondered about it.

I think its normal from a 1st gear to be higher than the other gears, but Im wondering should it be as high a 4500-5000 rpms before that first to second gear change.

If you punch the throttle, shouldn't it go all the way to redline before shifting? I can't speak much to this topic because I am and manumatic only person. Although you do drive a V8, maybe that could affect things?

If I floor it from a stop or from rolling, I believe it goes to 6200-6500 before shifting to 2nd. 4500-5000 actually seems early. Under normal crusing, it doesn't go past 4000.

I guess I misread, cuz I dont understand why you think you have a problem. If you punch it, it should go to redline in auto mode.

I can't tell if the problem is that it is revving too high or too low. Sounds too low to me, but it seems he is worried it is too high. :dontknow:

Thanks for the responses, just seemed a little off for me, don't really remember my FX revving that high before a change. I drive about 99.9 percent of the time in automatic mode, so maybe it has been changing gears early either way I want to make sure its right. Thanks for your help.

Yeah, think I was just being overly cautious, been accused of that before when it comes to my FX. Anyway stepped on it today, I think its fine. I still back off the gas before it gets close to redlining...old habits...lol.

Since installing the paddle shifters - mine sees the red on a blockly basis (every block)
