how to replace the fog light bulb?

When you have 10 posts you need anything you can get to gain attention.
I'll give a quick reply.
Back in February, I was quickly washing the salt off my beloved FX after work. It was about 20F outside (brrrr...) I usually do not run my fogs, but that night I did - so as soon as the cold water hit both lenses - I heard CRAACKKKK!!!!! ...you can imagine what went through my head
I immediately went on eBay in search of new fogs for FX. I got a pair plus independent switch plus harness for around $50 - FANTASTIC!!!

I got my fogs within a few days, called my stealership and was quoted $260!!! to change 2 fog light assemblies - they said they would need to drop a bumper to do this. Bulls@@t!!! This is when I simply took my working lamp, put on a pair of rubber gloves (I like to keep things clean) and started inspecting the patient...
I reached into the opening in the plastic trim just below the grill and It took me about a minute to find a soft plastic covers on both sides of fog lamp assemblies. Of course, I have an '03 FX and wouldn't speak for other years, but these plastic covers on '03 can be easily pushed aside to reach the back of the fog light assembly. I f you do this, you are golden! No need to go underneath and have incredibly long hands to change a bulb and no need to lay on the floor eating sand falling into your mouth.
All you need now is a 10mm wrench, the bolt you are looking for is on the top - you can easily feel it and reach it. It holds the whole fog light assembly in place by going from the top through the plastic trim into the fog light adjustable holding arm. Just look at the new one you'll have in your hands and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I guarantee, from start to finish it'll take you around 25 minutes (with cleaning fog light sockets)
Next step would be to open your fridge, pour yourself a cold beer and think of better ways to spend that $200
