RWD FX with Snow tires??

In general, RWD with snow tires will have better snow traction than AWD with all-season tires.
If you put snow tires on a RWD, you will be fine in most snowy conditions. The heavy car and snow tires will be sufficient unless you really are in a situation that requires AWD.

I just got my FX 2 days ago and the previous owner left me with a set of 17 inch ASA with Blizzak on PERFECT condition. I am in the process of trying to get new tires for 20s (or preferred, trade with someone for 18 inch).
If you want some snow setup let me know and I might be able to get them go for cheap. They are $1200 brand new and they are about 95% similar to brand new

Once you go winter tires, you won't go back! Here is a chart that helps sum up why winter tires are that much better than all-season tires (this is in Celsius):
