Debadging?

lol everyone debadging the 35 cuz you want people to think you got a 45/50?

Nope, just a cleaner look. Plus, the badges don't really benefit anyone other than the manufacturer. I have debadged every car I've ever owned. ie 3000GT VR-4, GS400, Q45t.

I also immediately take off the dealer license frame and reverse the paper plate in the rear as soon as I get the keys from the dealer. Again, why advertise for free? They've got my money already.

lol can someone help me with removing the shadow? some products besdies goo gone and wd40.

If its truly shadow, its from the fact that the emblem shielded the paint from the UV rays. It'll hopefully even out little by little over time.

Think of it as watch tan or wedding band tan for your car. Some cleaner polishing for clear coat might help as it'll restore the clear that was exposed to sun surrounding the emblem.

How bad is it?

It really doesn't take long to leave an imprint or it might be as simple as residual chemicals from the tape giving it a shiny look. Try a machine buffer and use some cleaner polisher followed by a good wax. If you're not sure how much pressure to use have someone do it for you.

I tell people my debadged FX35 is an FX60S-RT85 v spec. They're always impressed and I'm always satisfied.

Hahahaa....too funny!!! I've been wanting to debadge mine...but jst havent had the time these days....maybe this wkend :)

I used the headlight haze remover process "mothers" Is the brand. Its a five step process (4 types of sand paper and buffing)

Thought I'd add my ten cents... when I debagded my Ivory Pearl, I used the blow dryer/ dental floss technique, and it worked perfectly. Just be careful when taking the excess glue off with Goof Off or Goo Gone because the lime green color from the lime green microfiber cloth I used bled onto the car somehow. It was barely noticeable, but I'm glad I noticed. I used a white cloth right after to get the green off the car.
