Gas Mileage on FXs

11-12mpg? damn, you must be driving like Jeff Gardon out there :laugh:

j/k... when I first got my 45 I was gunning it off every light... but that was when gas was in the high 2s low 3s... and I lived (literally) ONE mile from the house... now, I try to behave... and currently I'm at 15.4

I'm getting 19.5 around town and 22 HWY.If I go easy on the throttle witch is hard to do!!!
 
My MPG shows 19 right now and I drive like a bat out of hell. I even had 28MPG at some point. I recently (past 2 fillups) that the gage is WRONG:mad:.

I acctually calculated it based on miles I drove and amount Gas I put in, and the average number now is 14MPG
 
im pretty sure it calculates the mpg based on how much air enters the engine, so the supercharger might throw that off a bit. basically it assumes that your a/f ratio is something so then it calculates fuel entering based on air. thats why they arent always perfect. anyways, im at about 18 mpg now, and i averaged 17 my last tank. i finally got over 300 miles before i had to fill up :biggrin:
 
Right now Im @ 20.9

I believe any mods that help the engine breathe will help out the mpg a lil. The only problem is when you put a intake on you start flooring it and stuff. I think the best mod is the Plenum spacer. Only problem is once you get it on- your mpg will drop cuz you keep gunning it
 
At the moment I have an average of around 10 MPG which is not normal I guess.:frown:
No idea what's wrong, the dealer is not able to find anything.
