hey everyone,

the clearbra was installed on the fx when it was purchased back in 05, and the past 4 years have turned it into a faded, scratchy, yellow-tinted mess. therefore, I went to a great detailer in queens. (big "A" detailing)
the bra came off easily, but it was the GLUE that took 3 hours to remove...

and the end result is a much sexier looking hood.....seems like the FX shaved or something hahah. here is some pics:
also, my fx always looks BS instead of DG when it's cloudy out....wierd effect

yeah, it looks like you got bumped. No one left a note? shocking!

the bumper cracking happened to my fx45 and i just had the whole bumper sprayed. i like the black 20's btw

Something hit the bumper and bent it, causing the paint to crack.

tight pics

thanks.

but yeah, i always park secluded and nobody has tapped me while i was driving and this just came up on monday. is it possible it is from the drastic weather change and humidity?

lol sorry..
those pics looks really sweet.. well... except for that last one, which is a bummer..

Did you notice whether or not the paint under the clear bra faded any slower since it was protected?

Only if your bumper was a vacuum on the inside, then maaaaybe.

ummm then scratch that one off the list of suspects haha

looks great. what sup with the center caps? mia?

center caps do not match very well, and hve matte black emblems instead of chrome. i may throw them on this week and force myself to get used to how the ylook..but I am very picky nd the runny paint on them would bother the hell at me. I would rather look at the bare center....

yeah thanks,

the color seems to match perfectly, even under flourescent lioghting, sunlight, cloudy and sunny, it seems to be the same color throughout...

or somebody sat, stepped, or karate chopped it.

dammmmnn i knew I shouldnt have been practicing ym kung-fu on my bumper...
i kid i kid

but yeah, i never sat on it or anything... but i have a guy who can spray it for me

I removed and reinstalled my clear bra. I do remember it being yellow also. I didnt have that much of a hard time removing the left over adhesive.

are you planning on re-applying the clear bra? might be a good idea to keep it from chipping.

*nice wheels

I'm leaving it off for the summer and re-applying one before i go back to school :)

and yeah, the wheels came out great....but those center caps.....:frown:lol

what brand of clear bra was that?
I want to install on my new ride to be and would avoid that. I hear many are 3m brand rebadged.
Also; someone told me that WD 40 is good to remove glue/bumper stickers.

I actually have no idea what brand it was lol but it sucked.
and be careful when removing because sometimes things drip, like on the chrome grille, and screw stuff up
