Need Suggestions to Reduce God Awful Road Noise!

I know that the FX35 is somewhat known for this so I don't expect my FX35 to ever sound as quiet as my buddy's RX330 but still, there has to be something that can be done. The road noise after 25-30 MPH honestly gets ridiculous, I am thinking maybe it's the tires the previous owner put on, some kind of Yokohama tires, etc.

Any suggestions? Could it be a wheel bearing with 50K miles? I keep thinking there has to be something more than the tires, lol.

I have Yokohama Parada Spec X, no problem with noise. So probably need to narrow it down because I think the Yoko Advan maybe louder, but you should probably narrow it down so you can get better help.

when I first got my fx I felt like it just had too much road noise too. I had used tires, but they were claimed to be only like 10k miles, they looked pretty good, so I thought gotta be something... little searching showed that guys have had wheel bearings replaced on other fx's, so I ordered & replaced both front wheel bearings. pulled it out of the shop, same thing, had a road noise that I just couldn't accept as being normal... put it up on a lift & spun it up, I thought I heard excessive noise from the transfer case, changed the whole transfer case, but still same noise...

finally I said gotta be the tires, so I trashed a pretty new set of toyo proxes, put a new set of yokohama parada's & my fx's been fine ever since...

leason I learned, even if the tires appear fine & are not your first suspect, always try to substitute the wheels first before taking stabs at maybe's. these are big flat wide tires & it don't take much for the tires to make noise...

Yeah that sounds exactly what I'm going through thanks so much for all of the info is really helpful. More or less I'm going to have to end up replacing the tires and this drives me crazy because I had to do the EXACT same thing on my previous G35 because of excessive road noise.

I don't know if it's the Infiniti OEM wheels possibly? Because I've never heard of stock tires being so damn loud!

I have just over 30k on the clock, and my right front wheel bearing needs replacing now according to the dealership. I can't pass inspection until it's done.

Adjusting the camber close to zero degrees will help even out the tire wear. The G35s have negative camber, so the tires wear faster on the insides and feathering results, causing road noise.

But some tires are just noiser than others. My FX has brand new Falkens on it and they are noisy. I dread what they will sound like in 20K miles.

How come? I thought the wheel bearing can last really long. And it usually does not need to be replaced on least you hit your wheel hard to the curb or have some accidents.

i got michellin latitudes . n the drive is smooth n quite as can be . stick with michellin . i know they r pricy but its well worth it .

Ahhh, yeah it was the curb I hit then. When he said front right, that was what I thought of. I just find it weird that it just now popped up. I know the car has been in for various services since then: 30k, and alignment to name a few.
