Security armed led

does the security system seem to work as normal?

Good question just went out and left window down and locked it with key fob then opened door by reaching in through window opened door and alarm sounded.
So I think this means it's working as it should.
What all does the stock security system secure?
I had the same problem on mine, thought maybe just the led went bad but I took it in to dealer just for the hell of it. Alarm still sounded when I pressed panic button or opened the door when armed. Left the car there and then got a phone call later saying that the led was fine but that they had to order some sort of module. I forget what exactly it was but it wasn't simple like replacing the led.
Hopefully in your case it is just the led though. I'm not sure how one would go about testing the imobalizer thing the fx has.
Then again it was the dealer i took it to so they may very well could have just lied to me since dealers always make things seem worse than they really are so that you feel like they are really taking good care of you. heh
