Sons Car

Damn! Wanna adopt me?
Both are striking

Maybe the lower mile one? both manuals . . they both fly. Little much for a kid I think, . . 16? that's just a bit spoiled IMO

540 with the sport pack is pretty nice. I actually kinda wanted one of those for a time after hearing my friend drive his parent's 540. Big V8 is nice. Haha I agree with Dave.

& dont get me wrong. I'm bet he's a good kid, I just think a 16 yr old car shouldnt be in a 540. Dont think it's healthy for a kid to have those things just given to them. Blows reality out of proportion in life a bit,
besides, an 8 is just asking for trouble with the cops . .. & the light posts (heaven forbid)

you guys are giving great advice and i am starting to think but, he hasnt been talking about mush else at all. he is paying for about 5 grand of it.

yes, he has had a bank account for years now and has always mowed lawns around the area

But he has no experience behind the wheel, right?
What about a real nice drivable mower? then he could work for the rest of that 15K needed for the bimmer, lol
Just curious, what was your 1st ride?

A 16 yr old?
He is 16 yrs old?
What's so hard to believe...? :err:

I say... if he was able to get $5k saved up, feel free to treat him to something. However, I think a better lesson is price matching. You'll pay whatever he pays type of deal... is he looking to get a job? I've always paid for my cars, but would've appreciated help... and ended up with a 2 yr old FX35 when I was 20 (which is paid off now).

I agree there is nothing wrong with getting him a nice car, but I think you should first give him a car for a bit of time just in case. You can see how he takes care of that and how that goes, and then you know he is ready for something better. But in the end, it is up to you, so do what you think is best.

Not a question of belief.

I didn't have my own car until I was 27yo...:embarrassed:

If you are going to spoil him like that then you might as well do it right and get him the E39 M5. LeMans Blue of course.
