275/45/20 Tires on Stock 20s

That first Pic looks hella nice Stu.....the Ride is coming along. You should submit that for the ROTM:tup:

Was just under the car Polishing up the ol Nismo Can and noticed the rear tires are almost slicks -

I currently have 285/50/20
Considering 295/45/20 or 275/45/20

the 295 will be very close to stock as far as speedo is concerned.
I dont like the side wall bulge that I have now with the 285/50/20

If you think the 285 has too much bulge, I assume the 295 will have more. It's weird though because I didn't notice much (if any) more bulge going wider 10 mm. I think the smaller sidewall helps lessen the bulge.

I dont want to go any lower than 285's, but choices for 285/45/20 are slim.
So Im thinking about 295's. But you're right about the buldge on them.

I think 275/45/20 would be better than 285 if bulge is a concern.
How about 285/40/20 ? onlinetires.com has Nitto 420 for $168
or
295/40/20 price ranges from $109-$327 for Pirelli

isnt our speedos off anyways? maybe a smaller tire will help offset the "faster than actual" speed :err:

Smaller tire actually makes it read even faster I believe. Although mine still seems around 5 mph off although my old tires were bald and these are new.

Just put on my new tires. Hankook rh06 275/45/20...man are these things great!!!!! Took them on the freeway and man they performed great. Highly recommended! Wheel gap was just a tid bit wider..but shoulf fit in nicely once i lower the car.

Any updates on the tires Stu or Cheese?

My rears are at 2/32 and the fronts are 7/32.

Looking to get new tires by next weekend and Im looking at the Hankooks & Yoko Paradas. 275/45/20

Hey Cheese - when you picked them up where did you take them to get mounted?
