Thanks.

I would assume so. They can build a 1000hp Evo so you would expect them to be able to change the oil and check the brakes every now and then. It would be nice to be able to take the car to just one place for all service and aftermarket needs. The dealer is just going to give me shit for modifying the car and most likely refuse warranty work anyway so I would rather just pay an aftermarket specialist to do it all under one roof.

They can do all service, but not sure if they can cover warranty work.

I know they have ASE-certified mechanics, and they're very much favored by Mitsubishi themselves (they know what goes on there). There has been a few cases where AMS has actually done warranty work on an Evo, but it's not a regular thing. To be on the safe side you'd have to ask the dealership before-hand.

If/when I do get an EVOX, I'd be going there for everything.

Still looking into getting an EvoX? Did you end up waiting out the Audi and can't go back now?

I still don't know if I should go with the 2008 X vice 2010. I guess if I can get the right deal on a blue one in either Wisconsin, Rockford, Indiana or Kalamazoo I just might do it. I don't want one with over 9 miles though, so I might have no other choice but to go with a 2010.

Might not be getting it after all... I put a deposit down after discussing the small scuffs that would be buffed out, the engine bay detailed (dusty/dirty), and the X being put on a lift inside for the next 2 months until I get there, discussed pricing, rebates, etc and they ran my credit (I'm now over 800 ).

I called today to iron out the details and get the paperwork FedEx'd over to wrap this whole shin-dig up and guess what? The price went up... apparently one of the rebates will not work with the others. How much did it go up? Only about $550, but that crossed the line. The deal is now not even as good as others have gotten in various parts of the country, in fact some had gotten fully loaded MR's (top of the line model except only comes with the SST transmission) for the same price.

I will be calling tomorrow to get my deposit back and let them sit on that 2008 X for even longer (the 2010 comes out in August). :thumpdown.:

Looks like I might be gettin one from South Coast Mitsubishi over there in Costa Mesa. Any of you familiar with the area and shipping companies recommend a way of shipping it to Chicago?

It's a good thing you taped it all up. I don't think I'm ever going to get some of the bug crap off the front of my FX. I still remember driving through a swarm of bees and counting something like 35 splatter marks.

Whats's the plan on the wheels? PC Blk?
Satin black!

Btw, random poll, which color do you think would be more in demand for the stock FX 20's? I'm gonna get them freshly powder coated in either gloss black, satin black or gunmetal from the same place that's gonna do my Evo's wheels...
