$450 to install springs and catback - fair price?

i'm thinking 3-4 hrs of labor cost would do,$300 would be more of an avg, no ?

I paid $160 for my h&r's installed (sort of discounted since I put in the 50% labor).

I paid $300 I think. That was the best quote from a reputable shop. I could have gone to a ghetto tuner shop and paid $100, but I chose quality over price.

same as what Ken said...if these prices are for just install, then thats not a great price at all. I paid 100$ to get my springs installed, and the cat back shouldnt take much time at all, plus it should already be hoisted.

I'm confused... are these prices with or without parts?

It's for installation of a HKS catback and Eibach Pro-kit.

Guys thx for the responses. Gives me an idea of where I should be.

HKS is Y-pipe back, unless you bought aftermarket Y-pipe.

I paid $120 for spring install at a local auto repair shop and ~$100 for the NIsmo (they had to extend the tips)

$450 sounds like allot but it maybe less after they see how easy the HKS bolts up.

Also Some members have installed the rear springs themselves and driven the ass low FX to the shop to do the fronts.

exhaust should be only 85-100. MAYBE 20 more if you need to extend tips. Anymore than that...go somewhere else

Not sure about pricing for springs....

Ya, it's fun to roll around with the reverse-rake look. I paid $300 at a well known shop here for my fronts to be put on, and they also check my work on the rears, flawless of course. It just depends on where you go though. This was the first place that said they would install them so I went with it.

Paid $125 for the Stillen exhaust install yesterday (houston, tx). Probably could have haggled down to 100, but I was too damn excited to see the shiny metal. I was happy to drive out of there and it didn't even sting!

Don't forget you will probably need a stiffer exhaust hanger.

I think $250 to install springs + $100 to install mid-pipe and rear section is ideal.
