On my mind (turbo's supercharger for sale)

I have a pretty good deal on a complete 07 g35x drivetrain, motor tranny & transfercase.there not easy to find, the ones you do, they want over $4,000 for just the motor alone. I can get a decent deal on the one I found & it's only got 5k miles on it. I'm hesitant to pull the trigger without lining up a sale on this blower though

alright, I have decided that I am not going to buy this HR drive train unless I get a sale on my blower which is why I put the blower up for sale to begin with, too much money tied up in my fx right now. the guy with the HR drive train has an offer from someone else to separate it, but would rather sell it as a whole too, so I told him to give me till the end of the week to give him an answer one way or the other, if I pass he's going to part it out & I don't know if or when I would find a deal like this again...

if anyone wants my blower setup I'll let it go for $3,000 firm bottom line, but this week only, offer good till Saturday. not enough time to put it on ebay or anything else really... I'd also be willing to take a significant deposit & hold it till you pay it off within like a month or 2, I'll buy the HR drive train setup if I know I have a sale on the powerdyne, if I can't put anything together then I guess I'll just wind up installing the powerdyne & that's that, def easier & cheaper but ain't gonna be able to chase down any cayenne turbo's, gonna have to just set my sites lower & just go after those fx50's:tongue:

sooooo, any takers? you could go after those fx50's yourself with this setup, anyone?

Man.. One week?? Only if it was more than a week or two I would think I can give you an answer on the big payment...

only selling it for one reason, otherwise this is a really nice setup for the stock DE motor, why I bought it in the first place, big benefits over the alternatives to me...

if I don't get the HR motor & tranny then I'm installing this, probably won't sell it, & def not for 3k. in all reality I'd probably be better off just keeping it & installing & done, but I'm a sucker for projects & this HR drive train's got me itching for it at the moment...

just got off the phone with john....
he is just as impressive as all his mods & just as cool too!

I think I found a buyer for his s/c

John, if ever your in my neck of the woods, let me know dude.

sure thing bro...

alright, supercharger is sold, monday morning I order the HR motor, done deal, love it when a plan comes togeather

the few others that were in discussion with this blower I'm sorry, but my offer was as good as it was going to get & my terms were very easy & fair, hyme was the first to actually call me & step up, he is now the proud owner of the charger, congrats & best of luck with it dude, I think you got a great deal on this, win/win

ok, so now onto the HR drivetrain, before I locked any deals down to lose the charger I got my hands on a g35x yesterday & got it up on a lift & checked it out. the tranny & transfer case all look bout the same as ours, no issues there it seems so far. now the front diff....

the front diff is tricky, cause the front diff is bolted to the motor in such a way the it is almost siamesed to the right side of the block. the oil pan is bolted to it as an assembly & the axle passes through the lower part of the engine, ours does the same, but this one is very different, meaning I will probably have to run the front diff as well. possible axle issues, too soon to say really, then theres a good chance our gear ratio is not the same as the 07 g35x, might either want to try & grab the rear diff too if it's still available, forgot to ask about that, but the front IS available with this, which is good enough, at that point I'm pretty confident that I can pull this swap off without too much drama (famous last words:laugh:)

hard for me to speculate too much about the details of what's going to be involved with this swap, wether it winds up being dual throttle bodies or single, wether it's going to be twin turbo, twin rotrex or single rotrex or ??? too soon to say... I'm leaning towards & hoping for twin rotrex with twin throttle bodies... that would be siiick, too soon to say though, also want to keep the budget tight.... also want the hear them in person to see how loud it is, there supposed to be pretty quiet... also need to make sure I can get this motor to work in the fx to begin with .... so far my confidence level on pulling off this swap is pretty high, I'd give it a solid 85% chance of success without even having the motor yet, well see how much that # changes when I have it in my hands..., what's worse case, it don't fit? eventually some's gonna need an HR motor :ever: I think i'll get it in there though, I think...

first thing I do when I get this is bag it up on an engine stand & burry it till my headlights are done though, I promise :embarrassed:, then I can start playing with this a bit

Congrats John!!! Let's see the outcome of this new project of yours... I'll bet it'll be a sucess ! Good luck!

Awesome John! Good luck with this project and hope all goes well wiithout too many issues. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you

hey white hair, want to buy another lms CAI with about 15 miles on it hehe
just in case you get a scratch on yours:biggrin:

lol? You got Turbo's charger? That is nice setup. I'm happy with my LMS. Keeping it clean everyday without a scratches . Post a sale thread for your CAI, it will be gone soon.

yup
heh, don't know if I should sell it now or wait till the charger is in.
I'm happy with my LMS too!
I'll appreciate it a while longer i think. First I have to finish paying turbocad then probably won't install it 'till I save a few more bucks for a tune. I'll have to talk to a buddy from school & see if he knows of a good place to tune and maybe even dyno.
Last thing I want is a damaged motor and unnecessary costs.

yeah bro, sorry bout that, wish I had another for you but had to do what I had to do...

ordered the drive train this morning, it's mine now, just gotta make arraignments to pick it up, guy that wanted to buy the tranny/diff was there bright & early hoping I didn't come through...

the front diff is listed as 3.692;1 ratio, guess ours is the same although it's referred to as 3.7, guess it's just rounded up... I was worried the gear ratio may be wrong & I would need the g rear diff too but seems not to be the case...

I always remember hearing the 3.692 gear ratio for the AWD... where'd 3.7 come from?
