Escort 9500IX

It's kinda like buying a Garmin GPS with MP3 capability.
Only benefit I can really see is with the speed camera detection, but then again . . I wouldnt trust that 100%, & besides . . I dont run reds. You could kill yourself & a family of 5. Sorry . . I'm just not in that big of hurry.

but what if the components in the 9500IX is better then the 8500?
and in that case the 9500IX would detect more radar/laser better and more effeicently then the 8500?

Huh?
they're not. I just quoted the specs. How are the components better? The 9500 is based on the 8500 X50, which has been around for a few years, & has proven itself a great platform.

Then all you needed was the 9500 minus $200- equals the 8500 X50.
But really, you got yourself a nice new toy there, enjoy it & dont look back.

precisely,

But if the others things are important to you, then I guess it's worth it.
Like the camera thing, false alerts mapping, voice alerts . . I'm old school, so the bip-brap alerts are fine for me, & seem to work well with louder music

I've had the 8500 and the 9500 and I think the sensitivity on the 9500 is better. Comparing apples to apples.

All I need it something that tells me there it's a cop ahead!!! That's all I need, and my old. Cobra being doing a great job at it...
