Can someone recommend a good air intake kit? I've been looking around the forum here and I can't seem to find a direction is what's best for the FX45. Thanks

As far as I know, LMS and WeaponR are the two only alternatives. WeaponR had some issues I believe though on this.. Also, Kieran over at the .org was in talks with JWT I believe to come up with an intake kit for the 45. Doc, Ken(TrainerKen) & Berto (HumbertoCali) would know best about it.. Btw, someone needs to move this to 45 section, not FI.

Yup, right you are EG3! I'm still using that combo and I have no complaints. Not too different from stock with just a bit of a sound difference. But unlike the LMS I have never experienced the SES light come on. With the LMS you have to worried about running a bit too lean in cooler weather conditions as the oversized tube was larger then stock specs.

We run the drop in filter only right? Unless you upgrade to an air intake kit correct? If this is all true Im assuming a better drop in would be my best option for now.

I've tried most of the options for the FX45 (Weapon R, LMS, other customs). I'm down to a drop in K&N filter and stock air intake.

I'll probably switch entirely to stock filter and stock air intake. These MAF Sensors are too sensitive to filter oil.

Hey thanks, good info. The 45 is very sensitive and I don't want to do anything that might upset the balance in a negative way.

If you want get an exhaust -- I recommend HKS or Stillen for a true, bolt-on application. You might see a few horses, torque and better gas mileage, but the big gain here is sound=)

Stillen has some fitment issues with the 45 as far as I know.. See this:

Yes, then the best option is the drop-in K&N
