Ichiba V1 vs V2

I read here (http://g35driver.com/forums/wheels-tires/253382-b2autodesigns-ichiba-spacer-kits-5mm-25mm.html) that second version of Ichiba spacers came with studs already in the spacers. It requires the back of the wheel to have indentations... Do we have these in the 20" stockers? Does anybody have the rear shot of the wheel? I remember seeing it somewhere but can't find it..

Deecarp has a set of rims not currently on.

Those are kind of like wheel adapters, that will make 10 lugs you need to keep torqued....yikes.

I have these the 25mm. You dont to remove the original studs. It's plug and play.

You don't have to keep them torqued but I would at least keep them checked when you have the rim off.

Actually, on a normal spacer you do keep them torqued every time since they all use the same lugs and bolts.

Aftermarket spacers are aluminum/magnesium alloy. If they do it just from cast aluminum, you might have issues. I say ask them to cover the cost of the spacers. That way they don't have to be responsible with any vibration issues (if in case you experience that) as well..

ichiba makes 2 types of spacers

1 comes with longer studs. I use these on my car. Comes in 5mm, 10mm, 15mm, 20mm

the second type comes with studs pressed in and bolt to your hub. Comes in 15mm, 20mm, and 25mm

If you use the second type, your wheels must have the cutouts in the back, otherwise they will not fit

When asked for my preference, I like the V1's better as it's exactly how an OEM setup is. Requires a bit more labor for install. V2 works as well, but I feel more comfortable without an extra 25 bolts to look after

I bought 2 pairs of 15mm ones. They should be arriving here on Friday but I don't know when I'll get them on. Will let you know.. Btw, do you know a good & cheap shop to get the front FX50 brakes on? I don't want to ride to Manchester for the install..

front brake swap is EZ, any mechanic can do it, easy diy too as long as you know how to bleed them after. lmk how complete joes supplying these, if they include the correct caliper bolts & shortened brake line banjo bolts... just curious as to how he final packaged these.


I know he still isn't offering the rears as available because of the ball joint adaptor necissary... I'm ordering a batch of these balljoint adaptors made for me so I should have them in around 30 days for those that want the rear swap, but the rears will cost more than the fronts & the labor is more extreme too

unfortunately i do not. all the work done on my ride to this point was done by myself and a friend in the driveway. sorry man

Turbo explained it a little bit but Joe sells the front FX50 brakes for $830. It won't fit the stock wheels without spacers which I'm getting this week. He needed to get rotors and I should receive the kit tomorrow, hopefully. I think the kit is complete, John.. I don't think he'd sell it easily without any warnings if not..

I just hope it takes a bit of the mushy brakes I have now. Even with steel lines, new rotors and new Hawk HPS pads that are properly bedded, I don't feel confident with the brakes. It just takes too damn long on the pedal to get a good bite. Sucks when the road is dry and you need fast reflexes like I needed last week.. I think it's a great deal. The cheapest front set I could find are AP Racing ones with 4 pistons and 14" brakes for $1600. This is almost identical to that but it's half the price.
