Snowboarding in Las Vegas!!!

Betcha didnt know Vegas Had snow.....
Well the family and I made history today with daughters 1st trip to the snow as well as 1st FX trip to the Snow. Just never thought it would be in Vegas 1st. CRAZY!!!!
Heres a few pics to show how great a time we had on such an awesome day to kick off the Christmas Season. It was the 1st weekend that they opened up for the winter since snow/rain fell Thanksgiving eve & day. Enjoy the pics

I dont know what Splattered the sign...Snowballs or paintballs...
it was the las sign I seen before I jumped back on the 95 to head home so I had to get a shot of that sign. Thought it looked ODD. Whom ever did it, had great aim.

yeah we had a blast. The lefts are at the top of the mountain at the end of the 156hwy. If you ever come to Vegas in the winter on rainy days take the 15 North (as most usually do) merge to the 95 N/RENO to the 156W towards Mtn and 15mins up the hill and ur there. only 35 min from my door. By the way I drive of course. 40-50 mins from strip for if you're driving Ms Daisy

I just got back from Vegas myself (traffic sucked) . My in laws pointed to Mount Charleston ,indicating there was snow and skiing there as well. We went shooting (9mms, shot gun, sniper rifle etc...)in the desert instead.

Not going to happen Ash!

They can't even blow snow yet..its been too warm and BBear has too much humidity right now to blow snow....much less get any REAL snow....

your trip on the 13th needs to be rescheduled.:tears:

I've been waiting....and waiting...and waiting for the snow to hit this year...finally after taking a couple of seasons off, I've been itching to get out there again....and I got my mom working the ticket window at Summit:.smile:

sweetttt! so excited about the season this year. i've heard about the ski resort near vegas, it's like 30 min north right? how big is it? i'm going to be in vegas first weekend of jan, tempted to take a side trip out there!
