IS Drifting Thread

think thats awd, see the front spining as well, my fx kicks out easy like that too, I was surprised to be able to do pretty tight 360's easily too..

nice video's & nice editing, cool:smile:

no, I just held my point & shoot up to my left ear  first time screwing with uploading anything to youtube, now that I got the account I'll put up clips of the stillen sounds with headers too...
finally! jeez, was wondering if there would ever be some proof you even had them!

so what, you think I made it up or something

you can hear it a bit from the little clips I put up, but that's from inside the car, I'll drive around in a bit with the camera hanging out the window I guess:tongue:

don't you also have a stillen supercharger laying around or something? i was reading some old threads a while ago and it was about all these things you bought, maybe from ShadyJC?, and i was just like wait i've never heard of these being installed.

yeah, thats in my basement, bought the powerdyne blower from shady, haven't put it in yet cause I want everything else inplace before the charger goes on.headers, exhaust, already got the utec in, working on the gages & fuel system & a base utec tune, then I'll put the blower on, I already rebuilt it & replaced the internal belt & an upgraded shaft & bearings... maybe around springtime... I'm not using any of the lms fuel/timing management stuff that came with it though

just went & did a few more drifts/donuts whatever... I think the awd can do tighter spins than the rwd, rwd the rear would spin out & throw the fx wide around the front wheels so the radius is about double the fx, but awd at full turned wheel the front's are pulling you into the center of the radius while the rear is throwing out, in the end you wind up spinning within your own footprint practically, like a dog chasing it's tail, sitting still while spinning like a top... it's funny... gotta get someone to stand there & video it from outside, my camera sucks too for video's & this lots too small, also not completely covered with slippery stuff so I was grabbing traction & burning rubber too from all 4 wheels

^^ is your FX RWD? seems to be kicking out with ease

yeah, awd, no snow setting, vdc off, and manually shifting..

you have to use the gas to get it to kick out.. not the brakes.. I start to turn until I feel a little slide.. then pound on the gas, the front whips into the turn, while the ass kicks out.

once you get used to it (vs rear wheel drive) you can control your slides pretty well.. even between curbs and obstacles..

I'd practice in an open lot though.. :err:

yeah basically. and i've tried drifting in the dry....doesnt work very well. the onyl real dry pavement drifting you'll get is doing J-turns but you'll come to a stop. but...get some nice bald tires on there and you'll be able to. haha

i should upload the videos we took at school in PA. there wa a giant brand new pavement lot covered in snow---FUN AS HELL
yeah, i found ur youtube channel while browsing FX vids: jebaker1121

Does drifting mess up anything on the car besides tires?
