I bet he had the bottle hidden in the trunk and ran direct injectors to the engine block instead of attaching them to the intake. There's no way you can run 14.9 with that little mods or even NA in fact.. Plus, take a look at his reaction time @ .530 in the first slip.. No way..


Plus he just hit a 14.7 according to Tony (Booost) with a near perfect reaction time.

and I really could care less if he used the Bottle to get these times. Just come on and admit to what your using. Share with us your set-up and how much tuning/time is needed to make this FX safe.

but of course, that is assuming he got the "basic" kit...he could have gone all out and spent about $1500....who knows??? Booost Freak has been on...and hasn't admitted to what "The White Freak" has...

Here is the issue with Nitrus. A 10 lbs. bottle will give you about five 1/4 mile runs. If you have a track only car, it's fine. You pay about $800 for a Nitrus system with install and $48 for a fill-up and You're set. However; for a daily driver, you'd have to get out of the car, open the valve, fire it off, and once the bottle is empty, it's over. Also, it's very hard to do a Tune for temporary changes to the MAF. The MAF sensor is sitting at the front of the intake, it senses the Air Temp among other things. If the MAF does not adjust the Fuel to air

With FI you're power is there all the time.

When we were talking bout going to the track, he was all over this thread, now that we are talking about his "mystery friend", he is quiet?

Maybe he can shed some light?

i know that he swaped or has a piggy back on his ECU and he is tuned with 100 octane and has nearly every bolt on.

okay do i think NOS is the way no:tdown: ur like putting thousands of miles added to ur vehicle when u do use it or like decreasing the life of ur vehicle. I would rather go turbo or supercharge if i had a choice.

Booost Freak and I do not have the sport package. He just got some 20's but doesn't have tires yet. Next meet he'll probably be rolling his 20's. Myself, I'm waiting for the stock 18" tires to wear out, and after the winter to change to 22's.

Booost Freak's friend Jesse drives the white fx...he's not on :iS:.....yet
 
he has every bolt on? i thought that people looking under the hood didnt see much. they should have seen a spacer/plenum, intake, headers, high-flos/TP's, full exhaust. and maybe even saw him filling up with the race gas, unless he drove with it to the track? anyways, will he get on here and talk about what all he has done?
 
Ok if he has the ECU tuned to 100 octane:
Piggback ECU
Headers
Intake
Flowmaster exhaust (no resonator)

he does not have:
plenum spacer
aftermarket y pipe
z tube/lms
ground wires
STB
 
As I think about it now, he might have ported heads, cams, aftermarket pistons & rods and with a tuning and assuming he's RWD, he might have gained some good hp. There are several NA engines kicking close/over 300whp in my350z.com. And since Jeff is AWD, it might be possible that he'd achieve that time. On tbe other hand, if he just has basic bolt-ons, his time is not possible..

yeah, built engine would not be very obvious to someone just looking under the hood. interesting point.

Comon now no one is going to do a rebuilt engine unless they are going to go FI. But I can see doing that to increase the life of a engine for a NOS application, but highly unlikely.

i wouldnt mind a stroker kit to bump me up to 4.0L, gonna catch up to you 45's :tongue:
