Slip and VDC Off Lights?

This only happened to me the one time, I cant seem to figure out what the deal was...Levels are all good, checked them right after this happened...I think this was more of a fluke than anything...Bringing her in to the dealer this week for the first time to do a once over as my warranty will be ending in April...

Thanks Man...I mentioned it when I dropped it off a week or so ago and they couldn't find anything...having the car come from CA to MN it could be the ethanol mix in our crap gas up here...I know we have a higher mix than most states due to our great governor...

I have seen this problem before in my FX as well. It only happened once, around 10k miles. When I went to dealer, it didnt even have a code tripped. Posible manufactured defect with a wire or something.

i had this happen last year... it was a bad sensor....
had it happen two weeks ago... it was because i bent ALL THREE rear left control arms..:embarrassed:
hope yours is the former!!!

Just had the same issue happen to me. VDC off light and slip light are on. Checked the brake fluid and topped it off. No check engine light. Went to autozone and had codes checked, nothing clean with codes.

Now not sure what else I can do to make the lights go away. Will they reset themselves or is there something I have to do. Will check the sensors at the wheels. Only recent work that was done was brakelines in April and a oil change in September. Other than that no sure what to do. Need help

Same thing happened to me. I freaked out, turned the engine off then turned it back on. The lights went away and haven't seen them again yet (but it's only been a week). I checked the "brake fluid" box under the hood and the fluid is almost to the "minimum" so maybe I should go get this checked!

Well the dealer said that the replaced all four brake pads (I guess they either didn't fill up the fluids or the fluid is leaking).

Can I check the brake pads at home? Or do I have to bring it in to Autozone or to the dealer?

Grrr. My VDC & Slip (No brake light or Check Enging) lights are on every time during the first start now. They are on when I start the car. After the first start, if i cut the ignition and start the car again, the light goes away.

I checked my fluid and they are at maximum. I have plenty of pad left in the back (Looks new). I checked my fronts about a month ago and I had plenty of meat. What is going on? What else can I check?

It's probably time to take my car into Cheryl...
