FX: Did You Know? (FX Facts)

while Infiniti's projection (in the beginning) was 20% FX45 and 80% FX35... it ended up being only 10% FX45/90% FX35 sold (or 1 out of 10 on the road are 45's),

*** I read that once... don't ask me where the source is, I can't find it.

SAE Certified Horsepower

In 2005, the SAE introduced a new test protocol for engine horsepower and torque. The new protocol eliminates some of the flexibility in power measurement, and requires an independent observer present when engines are measured. The test is voluntary, but engines completing it can be advertised as "SAE-certified".
Many manufacturers began switching to the new rating immediately, with multi-directional results; the rated output of Cadillac's supercharged Northstar V8 jumped from 440 horsepower (330 kW) to 469 horsepower (350 kW) under the new tests, while the rating for Toyota's Camry 3.0 L 1MZ-FE V6 fell from 210 horsepower (160 kW) to 190 horsepower (140 kW). The first engine certified under the new program was the 7.0 L LS7 used in the 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Certified power rose slightly from 500 horsepower (370 kW) to 505 horsepower (377 kW).

you're the man! I never knew that! Now can you get it to roll up?
This is an awesome thread.

It's a Universal Nissan thing.
You can also turn the key in the door lock, & hold it turned, the windows will roll also . . but also just the fronts as does the key fob.

I got one -- with FX in reverse and rear-view camera on:

1) press Settings to adjust color, tint, contrast and brightness of picture
2) toggle the Day/Night mode, and then press Settings again to separately adjust the picture for the other mode

You can replace the xenon bulbs to any temperature (4200k-12000k) without changing and replacing the original ballast.

Here's a fact: The heated seats are piss poor. It's better just to sit on a cushion or stuff a teddy bear down the back of your pants. I go for the teddy bear option because it just feels so right.

* maximum cruise control speed the (05) FX will allow for is 90 mph
My '07 does this also. If you try and go above with the toggle, it simply turns off. Also, if you hold down the toggle, it will go up by increments of 5 mph.

Ther are no small storage compartments on each side of the cargo area floor of an '09FX35 like there are in earlier years.
