HID Kit for Fog Lights?

check with toy4x, i believe he is the one who first mentioned them. i have been trying to remember what the place was, seems like a good deal.
 
I beleive we dont need any kind of ballasts, we use the stock ones. When you get your bulb, take out OEM, replace with yours. Wear gloves, dont let them contaminated.
Someone else should chime in. I prefer 6k, 8k is too blue for me..
 
Only need bulbs if changing color of your headlights (D2S)...scroll down a little on the website you linked...."HID bulbs DDM" they are $30 + $5 for the pair.

If your doing the Fogs, you need a whole kit (Apexcone 35w/55w full size ballast hid kit). You will get the ballast, bulbs, and a small guage wiring kit. To wire a 55w kit, you will definately need the extra "HID accessory harness" for $25.

Remember...if going 55w, you absolutely need the HID accessory harness. This is to keep your electrical safe. And if going to 55w and want to color match, you need about 2000k difference in color. So if you want 6000k hid headlights and want the 55w kit to match..you need to get an 8000k kit for the fogs. The 55w kit washes out some color causing you to go higher in the kelvin scale to match the color from 35w headlights.

Our stock ballasts, bulbs, and wiring are all 35w. Do not put a 55w bulb in you stock headlights. Only 35w D2S..color is up to you!

Fogs Light Specs:
-03-05 = 9006 kit
-06+ = H8 kit

How to take off front bumper:

It took me about 50 minutes doing this myself the first time. And about 30 to put it back on myself. I think the hardest part was figuring out how to get the wheel trim off. Take out the inner fender liner, then I used a flat head screwdriver from inside the bumper to get the clips off the wheel trim. Then the next hardest was getting to those 2 bolts(picture 2 A). I used a small 10mm open ended wrench to get to these. Rest is easy...especially if you have help...which I didn't.

No offense Merchant....but from this pic, it is obvious you took off the wheel trim at least where it connects to the front bumper. I don't think there is anyway to get the front bumper off without taking this piece off. The inner fender liner can stay on..I think I did this too and just bent it a little bit to get to those 2 bolts.

You both are correct. The inner wheel lining does not have to totally removed and the wheel trim can just be unclipped and unscrewed only half way to just get at the inner 2 bolts.

:dito: :tongue: thats what I meant :rofl: forgive me for not being thorough in my post. I just misunderstood your previous post. I thought you completely removed the trims.
