ehh, 135 o the freeway back from palm springs. i slowed down to about 110 and a cop pulled up next to me. lets just say i got the s*#t scared out of meeeee

I think the speed limiter is at 135mph, and anything above that is tire size difference causing speedo error, or the limiter was removed. I got up to 135 on a stretch of road somewhere in Ohio or Indiana... it's all one long, blurry stretch of highway that doesn't seem to end... 6-7 hours of straight NOTHING

I must admit though, I was on stock suspension and rolling on Yokohama Geolandars on my 18" OZ rims and was at about 64k miles on the odo and it felt ROCK SOLID... must say it was an extremely good tire balance in the least... it was a pretty big deal, and I was impressed.

usually there's something on a car called a governor. lets say the governor is set to 130 mph. u cant go beyond 130 mph until u keep a constant 130 mph for 45 to 60 seconds then u end up unlocking it and u can go beyond the set speed.

Interesting, can anyone confirm?

according to technosquare

The speed limiter is removed. The stock limiter was set at 250Km/h (156 MPH), so for all practical purposes, we could have left it alone. But we decided to remove it, just in case someone feels the need to go beyond that.[/FONT]

they offer to remove the speed limit as part of the ECU reprogramming process. :top:

damn, I went that fast only once on a bike, the rest of the world was a blur at that point... crazy how much faster over 150 feels than lets say 120 or so...

140.. up the NJ turnpike.. of course the radar plus a high state of alert tell me when to let go of the gas.. havent got one ticket yet!!! (knock on wood):laugh:

Interesting, i'm from NJ myself and the NJTP seems like theres alot of cop hiding spots. What part did u do 140 on?

And what radar detector do you have?

as soon as you enter the turnpike right after DELAWARE bridge. there are few overpass or hidden spot for them to hide. i have a cobra radar. also when you ride the turnpike so many time you memorized most of the spot where they hide.. that why i said (and a high state of alert).

Did 110 once in I78, pedal was not to the metal but I chickened out. Used to live in Nwk. 3 times someone tried to break into the car & I have to report. Cops told me that they could not outrun an fx that was jacked the previous night.

Wow, i'd be so nervous doing 140 there. Usually once ur coming down from the bridge there's a cop waiting at the bottom i usually see when i pass by there. One of the safest spots is near before and after exit 16 of the NJTP and once you pass Newark because it's a straightaway with no hiding spots just the tall grass swampy area. and i also have a Cobra. its a 9440
