That's the front lower-engine tie brace, it goes under the motor and that bracing you're referring to is what it bolts on to, which in turn bolts into the side of the engine bay towards the bottom.

There is no good mounting points for a bar down there, so those brackets had to be made to have a sturdy mounting point.

HAHA, Ken...no not trying for the longhorns color...stupid camera doesnt know how to show the real color of the paint...its more orange:laugh: but im happy with it.

i installed the rear lateral bar last night, tried to do the front engine tie brace...got the rivnut things on but couldnt loosen the bolt so im just going to get the 2 front bars done from some shop

rear lateral bar installed

haha Ken, in Surrey man...its where i live

was parked on the side of the road at night...not home. Someone walking by most likely

The rear bumper is from random people in parking lots that dont know how to drive

ugh! I think if I ever move up there... I'm just going to buy a used mini cooper or something, no offense, I LOVE Vancouver, but the streets are soooooooo small, and don't even get me started on parking (in some places)... you just have to take whatever spot you find, and I'm super uptight about where I park.

The braces look great Gary. Now we'll have to have a meet. Sorry to see the keying. Where you live is kind of an island of nice homes with some nasty neighborhoods too close by.

Ken - Since I grew up in Vancouver proper I guess I'm used to the streets and parking but I think you would get used to it and learn where to park or not park. I'm sure California has some worse areas.

Interested to hear your feedback of the ride and handling with the braces installed.

OT - I have all the fronts pieces + A Stillen STB but I dont have the rear braces and the handling is superb with just those installed, I can just imagine all pieces installed.

I wanted mine painted that color but I kinda didnt have a choice. Looks great!! :top::top:
