LED DRLs?!

I wanna know how do u guys replace ur Daytime Running Light with LED bulbs that can work properly?
I got 3 pairs of LED bulbs broke down, some were flashing all the time and some were just not working at all, and the socket also got burned into black color.......Is it a common problem for FX or just for me?
And i also saw "Never use leds in GM truck and SUV Daytime Running Lights (DRL's) postions. The other bulbs positions are fine, but not the DRL postion." on autolumination. com
Is it ture? Anyway that i can change them into LEDs? Cuz the color of halogen bulbs can not match my 6k HID.
 
626FX hax more info on this. I bought a pair of blue LEDs from him and I have no problems. One kept going in and out and I think thats becuse I broke the socket when I installed my last bulb.
 
I have had the same 36LED bulbs from auoillumination on my DRL's with no problems (knock on wood :biggrin:). But then again I do not leave this light on all the time on my FX as some here do.

I know it's called Daylight Running Light. But I've never seen it be on by itself. I have to turn the knob one notch for it to come on. Is that what you're referring to keeping it on?
 
you can mod it to be on all the time. I did the mod and it was very easy, especially someone with your experience:wink:

I have LED bulbs for the DTRL and they should match 6k bulbs. It works fine. I'll post pics for you later today. But you want them on all the time or you just can't find a LED bulb that won't burn on you?

Those look really good. Since mine are on all the time and I've gone through like $150 worth...I might try some super white bulbs next. The LED's just don't seem to like being on all the time.
