headrest monitors

hey guys i've seen alot of you FX owners with headrest monitors and i really love how they look, i was just wondering where did you guys get them and which brand should i stick to? was thinking more along the lines of the monitors you can order already installed in a headrest.

With the FX headrest the way they are you basically have to go with the aftermarket headrests with the monitors already installed. Only drawback here is that you will not get a perfect match to the factory leather. My recommendation would be to go to a audio/video shop and see which brands they carry and have them do the setup.

I know DeeCarp got the headrest for the M35 or M45. They are alot bigger than the FX35 and you can put the monitors in those. I know they fit exactly in the slots for the FX35, but i'm not sure about the color match. I would think that there wouldn't be a problem getting the color, only thing i'm not sure of is the model year.

You guys should PM him to get details.

Wzup Mark, he's correct I got M35 head rest in the charcol. the color match is perfect, and they tilt. I got 7" soundstream monitors which was a tight fit but worked out in the end. now remember this anytime you go after market you have to modify something to make things fit. you'll have to drill the seat post to run wires etc... all in all it worked out well with a lil effort.

Can I (we) get a little "how to" on these steps? I have a pair of headrest monitors at home that needs to be installed. Monitors are placed in a aftermarket pillows; color and texture are off from Infiniti's leather but it doesn't (won't) bother me that much.

Thanks!

Some things you CAN do and some things are best left to the professionals if you lack the skills in that area. Don't want my car modded with a hack job =)
