Ok, so I am looking to get some 20's for the track and for long trips.

I have a set of 18's, but think that they look way toooooo small for the FX. So I am going to sell these and put that towards my 20's. If anyone is interested, let me know.

The stock size of tires area 265/50/20. Would 255/50/20 be too small?

Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys and gal.

Thanks for the info. So the 275 will be a bit bigger than the stock right? and the 45 is the width of the tire right? Tires are so confusing to me. lol

Ok, so I saw pics of the 275/45/20 tires and I like what they look like.

I think I'm going to stick to this size.

You really came in handy.

Thanks again.

On a 275/45/20

275 is the contact patch(width) or the part of the tire that touches the ground.

45 is the aspect ratio or the height of the sidewall from the rim to the tread

20 = size of the rim.

255 & 275 is the width of the tires in mm's, the 45 or 50 number is the aspect ratio, in other words, a a 275/50 will be 275mm wide & then the height will be 50% of that, a 45 series would be 45% of the width, etc

with this you can see why a wider tire will be taller than a narrower tire with the same aspect ratio & why a very wide tire will need to be less % or lower aspect ratio to have the same hieght as a narrower tire

Since we have the same color, let me chime in.. My fx when it had 20x9.5 OZ Canyons with 275/45/20s and stock springs:

If you're going for aftermarket 20s, make sure the width is more than 9.0". 275s get too much side bulge otherwise IMO.

ok, cool. I learned something new today.

Thanks Turbocad. I thought it was the other way around.

So then I'm thinking the 275/45/20 tires would be perfect.

Carlos are you looking for stock 20's or lightweight 20's? .. If you're looking for stock ones and you have 18's, you might wanna check out the Org.

No, I don't want stock 20's. I want something different. Stock 20's are about 40lbs a wheel right?

Oh cool, thanks for the pic EG3. I will make sure I get 9.0 +

thanks for all the info guys.

I have 275/45/20 on stock rims...well in size that is.
I don't think that with the Hankook Ventus Rh06 look like they bulge more than the Stock GoodYear RSA's.

Damn, you guys are too good. Ok, so I'm convinced on getting these. I don't think they look bad on the 8.5. How wide are the stocks?

Thanks for the pics you guys. I really like Forgiato's but I think they are a little pricey. Will see what I find in 20's.

Thanks again.
