Recently purchased my FX45 as some of you know. The drivers side headlight had water inside and the bulb was out. I was getting ready to open the housing to dry it blacken it out etc... Well i called a local infiniti dealer just to see if my VIN was due for any recalls. Sure enough i had 2, headlight and taillamp assemblies. I go in thursday morning at 7:30 to get this done.... FREE!!NOW THATS LUCK!!!

Most were unhappy with the new lights.....just an FYI.
I didnt like the new ones, but what I did was I pointed them 2 notches higher.
 
I have an even better success story :4tongue:

I have a 2003 FX35 Sport... and in 2005 is when the Sport package gives the clear tails and dark chrome headlights. I had the original 2003 bright chrome headlights and 2005 Sport tails. When I did the recall, they saw the clear tails and replaced them with brand new clear tails, and when they replaced the headlights, they gave me matching Sport package headlights with the darker chrome :xd:

But glad you're happy also! My headlights have also been re-adjusted post-recall. Not hard to do at all, I just made a visual on the garage door of where I wanted the lowest setting to be and my bro adjusted as I watched. Also lined them up to have a more crisp cut-off, which you may have to do after recall also.
 
Hmmmm... When I bought my 04, I got the recall's checked..."or so they say they are done". I wonder if I bring it to another dealership they will change out my lights since I put on the sport tails...:wub:
 
^^If you open up the hood and look on the top portion of the headlights you will see a small opening which you can fit a screwdriver. But these notches use hex keys and not your normal screw or philips drivers. Make sure to use the correct tools as you don't want to strip the notches.
 
What I meant was that there's an overlap between the right and left headlights. If you put your lights on directly into the garage door, you'll see whether or not they match up. If you adjust the left too high or the right too low, etc... the line will blur. If you match them up perfectly there will be a very crisp cut-off. Pretty much if your eyes are above this line it isn't bright at all, and if you dip below it you'll be blinded :4tongue:

But there is no "crisp" or "blur" adjustment, just line them up best you can is all I'm saying.
 
oh ok. the reason i was asking is because when i had the stock 4300K this cutoff line was SUPER sharp. for some reason when i switched to the 6000K it became a little mroe blurred, and it has a sort of weird effect where you can see some yellow and orange-ish colors at the cutoff line.
