Finally UniChip installed

Hey guys,

I finally installed unichip which is the only tune that i can do here in the UAE.

My modes are:

Stillen CAI
UR pully
Kinetix SSV
Nismo headers
test pipes
Custom catback (stock Y pipe)
I also changed the plugs and coils but i dont remember the brand name
H&R springs

I noticed improvement in all RPM range.

This is the Dyno sheet(i took the pic with my fone) and its only showing the HP :mad:. First run means before tune, 2nd after tune.

Most of you will say those are big numbers and its imposible to reach with beening NA but what i think is the stock FX35 pulls around 230 HP on this dyno cuz a friend of mine just had test pipes on his car and installed the unichip and he got 240HP before tune and 260 after.

I was happy with those numbers but the guy who worked on my car said that something wrong with my car cuz most of the guys with same mods as i, they reacch around 290-300 HP. He advised me to take of the kinetix spacer.

I also asked him if can cancel the auto shifting from 4th to 5th gear but he couldnt.(Do US spec shifts automatically from 4th to 5th when the RPM reach around 4200-4300?)

the second problem was i couldnt get more 200KM/H and the guy who just had test pipes on he reached around 230-240 KM/H.
I called the shop he told me the same thing to me that i have to take of the spacer and try again.

What do u guys think the problem is?

And if anyone have a question feel free to ask.
 
I believe 250-260 range is attainable......but 290-300 is a stretch I think.
But some may accuse you of paying to get those numbers....:eek:

because its not just me or my car.. most of the people get high numbers like mine.
i just dont care about the numbers.

who do u think is faster, my FX or stock range rover super charged?

And why do u think my car cannot go faster than 200KM/H?
 
the RR is like 5,700 lbs... they're lucky if they break sub 7 seconds (on 0-60)

+1 on these as well.. If you like how fast it is then it's good.. You can't compare dynos effectively even if it's the same dyno, different days..
+1 on the Kinetix as well.. Take it off.. It's only useful on boosted systems.
 
they actually are pretty fast. they can hold their own against 45's and 35's alike from what i've seen. of course, i dont know if any of the above mentioned were modded in any way.
 
you should find one somewhere in the UAE to race. id bet with your mods and numbers that you should be able to be faster by a good bit.

here its easy to find RR sport.. but all of them have the super charged kit on them so i cant make sure that the one im racing is super charged or not. cuz i can easly smoke the non super charged.

i'll look for someone i know better and i hope i can smoke him.
 
id love to hear the results, there are videos on youtube of 35s and 45s racing what they say is an SC RR and im pretty sure the FXs win, but not by a whole lot.

Here's my $0.02.

the fact you have a breathing mod that allows more air into your intake is one thing, but the fact that most of that air is Hot air, maybe working against you. You live in the UAE which has a very hot Climate.

200KM/h is only 120M/h. Any FX should be able to do at least that. That fact that you probably don't have a US model means that you don't have a Speed Limiter either. Unless for some strange reason, Your ECU is acting up.

If I were you, I would back track your steps. I would start by unplugging the Uni-Chip and if that does not work, try getting it up 200KM/h on a cooler night. Also, make sure that your AIR filter is Clean.

Having less pressure in the back end would require, better breathing on the top. The air that enters the engine needs to be able to get out at a certain rate. If you get more in and not be able to get it out, it will stop taking as much in. Like wise, if your back end has very little back pressure, you'd need more force on the top end.

Also, make sure you're not chocking the engine. If you're Fuel to Air ratio is not correct, you can only rev up your engine so high when you have load. For the same reason that we can rev our engines much faster in Neutral vs. when in gear.

Further more, Check to see if there is any obstructions in your exhaust system. It is not uncommon for the Exhaust gaskets to cover some of the Passage.

How fast is the FX at 7000RPM in 3rd? Most people I've seen do the Dyno on 3d gear, in manual mode not Auto. What is up with gear changing from 4th to 5th?
