Hey guys,

Great forum! Nice to see the FX has an exclusive community to enjoy. I have been trolling around for a couple of weeks and have found lots of excellent information. I was very surprised with the aftermarket on here. And it looks like a great crowd of people also.

I just picked up a new 08 FX35 AWD. I went into the dealer with all the intention of buying a new MY09 but walked out with the 08. After driving both, the difference wasn't great enough for me to justify the extra $$$. I got a good price and I took advantage of the 0% financing. I had a wonderful buying experience and I'm a happy first time Infiniti owner.

I look forward to hanging out on here, meeting people, and contributing when I can. Cheers guys.
 
Hey, welcome to the scene. Congrats on your new FX. What color did you get? Make sure you post pics when you get a chance.

Thanks Ken. It's black with sand beige full leather interior. I had been on the waiting list for over 2 years prior to it's original release back in 06. I believe it was one of the first few in the country. It's been a great car. Not one single issue and it's been driven hard for 2 years.

Guys quick question while I have you here:

I think I covered the owners manual twice but with all the damn gadgets included in the FX I find it hard to believe that it doesn't have a speed-sensitive door lock function? For example, when the car is put in D or when it reaches a certain speed (5mph) the doors automatically lock for you.

Or I am just missing it in the electronic settings options??

That is the Techart kit. A couple of my friends in our Porsche group have that set up. I agree it looks pretty sick. The Techart Formula GTS wheels you see there are my favorite looking wheels for the Cayman by far. Especially on the white!

Sorry man .. it does not come equipped with speed sensitive lock function. I cant believe my brother's $20,000 VW jetta has it and we dont.

I'm pretty sure mine doesn't either, but I wanted your guys confirmation. It's not a big deal but it was just a surprising omission. The damn car grinds your coffee and makes your toast for you every morning, yet no auto-lock feature....
