So i recently handed over my fx to get my brakes and rotors changed by a local mechanic, all in all went well, the guy apparently installed raybestos ceramic pads, a week later squeel came into play and brought it back, he said he put some antisqueel? not to sure on the terms, and a week later the squeel came back, so today i brought it to the dealer to get them checked out and they said that all fx's will have some squeel? is this true, he said that the pads were dry as well and there wasn't anything on them, should i take it back to the mechanic who changed them so he can possibly replace them again?? opinions? thoughts anyone?

I have not had any squealing from the brakes after I changed out to the stop tech stage 2 upgrade and put on the oem pads. The axis pads that came with that upgrade was VERY dusty and would occasionally make some noise. Now the only time I get any type of squeal from the brakes is pulling out from the car wash when they are wet but that goes away once you hit the brakes a couple times and they dry up. Put the oem pads back on.

I havent had any noise from mine since I changed over to aftermarket rotors.:top:

hey guys thanks for the input, i know obviously there is some squeel, but i dont think its proper that everytime i brake i have to hear annoying squeeling, not even my 1986 camaro squeels like it, the guy changed the rotors and the pads so something is not right, maybe he used cheap pads? im going to put that antisqueel ? or w/e it is on the pads and see how it is

i know i get that squealing sound when i back out the parking spot. It only happends when the brakes are cold. not sure what the deal with that is. i even got the rotor pro setup on mine. it could just be brake dust. I know the brake cleaner sprays will only work for so long. it rains alot here so their is some rust on the rotors when the car sits for more then 18 hours.

i dont have any squeeling after i changed my pads...kept my rotors the same and they are close to dead. maybe the squeeling issue was adjusted on the 06+ which is the reason for the different sized front rotors and front pads for 06+ FX's, cuz i never recalled any major squeeking from my brakes
