Yeah it turned into a healthy discussion after I and Frank intervened. Maybe change the topic of this thread to "People are everywhere" ?

First of all, even if i can afford the FX50 i still would buy an FX35...I don't wanna waste all my money on gas when i can use it for something better...and btw the FX50 is ugly...if they were to combine the features of the 2nd gen FX into the shape of the 1st gen FX i'd totally buy it...and also...i have my eyes on the Porsche Cayenne, hopefully my second car but even if i could afford the Turbo, i'd still go for the V6 for practical reasons...i'm not going to be racing ppl every single day and i'd use the extra money to buy something else, maybe an everyday commute car or something.
I don't have to ask random non owners what they think because random people and freinds comment all the time on the looks of my first gen and everyone I've heard from loved the way it looks.Geez, the 2nd gen FX gets rocked in almost every forum, it truly is a love it or hate it design. Exactly like the 1st gen when it came out. It'll probably sell as marginally as the 1st gen did too. :squigglemouth: We should all step back and occasionally ask the random non-owner what they think about the 1st gen FX. I happen to know quite a few (non-owner) people who to this day think it's an ugly car-truck-wagon thingy. They still don't "get it". F* 'em. Similar to my last ride, if there's something that bothers me on this one, I'll change it.

I happen to think the 2nd gen looks cool. And the transmission, brakes, engine, interior, audio, handling, gas mileage, and nav are (IMO) an upgrade in every way over the 1st gen. Yeah it's more expensive than the 1st gen, but not -that- much more expensive. I'm sure that anyone who could afford a 1st gen could afford a 2nd, that shouldn't even be part of the equation.
I think the SLR looks hella cool... But not cool enough for a $300,000 car. For that sorta coin I want the car to drop me off at home, kiss me on the cheek, and do my annual tax return.

it's funny that any time someone expresses there opinion that they think the new fx is ugly, the first thing most new fx owner has to comment on is that you think it's ugly cause you can't afford it, what's up with that, I've seen that from several new fx owners already :err:
