My mechanic hard wired it and now I'm running fogs w/out headlights on. I can also individually turn on/off my fogs as well with the factory fog light switch.
this is how ive done it with other cars etc. (what u said) i just wanted it to be clean. ill look for a wiring diagram and do it myself. i just liked how his setup was. but ur right, its not that difficult.I don't understand why u guys just don't tap a 12v source and splice it into the wiring going into the relay for the fog? Its not rocket science, factory wise ur fogs get power from the headlights. Hence why headlights on would allow the fogs to be on. So if u splice in say a the 12v the radio runs on or the side marker light (pending where ur relay is) it would get power from that unit.

so you had your mechanic hard wire your fogs to turn on without the headlights being on? Also, you said you could use the foglight switch on the stalk.
im really interested and want to do this mod..and dont feel like spending 50.00 on some stupid module that may not work. do you know how he did it by any chance?
