putting fx in storage :(

i know. the 3 hour cruise up to school was awesome too except for the tiny snow flurry byt he poconos...and when i hit a patch of ice and swerved a tad bit 0_o.

but yea. now i got my fx back at school. yay
 
I'm trippin out......last night for whatever reason this thread popped into my head. I started thinking how's J's FX was doing in storage and if during the holidays he will get to take it out for a bit.

It's good to see your back in your ride. How did the FX respond at first start up? I'm sure it put a smile on your face to hear the that exhaust sound once again.
 
it sounded the best afte ri first started it up after it had been sitting there for a monthish. I had driving it in between for a day twice but thats it. now its here at school with me.

and true, at high school i was the ballin'-est basically, and here at college its no different. i have one or two competitors maybe, but i still love my fx :)
 
Also, our school makes you put a dumb sticker on your car for parking. what i did was take adhesive magnets and put them on the back of the sticker ( i can still take off the sticker to permanently stick it if i need to) so that i dotn need tot keep the sticker on there. however, if that starts to not work out and it becomes a hassle, I'm going to just put the damns ticker on a and be doen with it. but...................

where should i put the sticker? it's about 4 inches wide, 3 high, and its white with lack letters. where do you guys think would be appropriate...?

Nice...i like how the smoked lights accent the diamond graphite, and do you armor-all ur molding? looks like it:tup: is the sticker inside mounted or exterior mounted? if exterior, put it on the rear left window. btw, what were ur few competitors?

Hey J, well I'm happy you got your baby back. That sucks that you have to put a permit sticker on your FX. That really sucks. Why don't they issue those plackards that you can hang from your rear view window?

Damn, Wawa's are the bomb. Too bad we don't have them here on the West Coast. Much better than a 7eleven. hahahahaha

my competitors include (freshman cars) ....3 mustangs (one with work) 2 are 6's the work one is 8.....uh someone with mommy's rx lexus.....ummmm 2 jeeps with v8s..


but considering balling status competition.......im probbably up there!
there di an s4 with stuvf thats nice too! i get uber looks from people walking.......in town it the mosdt looks ive ever gotten...specialyl with my cvold start uber noise and my bright HID fogs. but yeah


as for the permit thingy, i was thinking back left too, next to myt vinnyten sticker thingy i have.....or all the way to the left on the rear hatch window...idk. right now i made it into a magnet haha.

any one ele, feel free to shwo ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, does that even need deserve the title "competition?" More like 2nd place. Ok so theres someone with a retired person's looking lexus and V8 piece of junk. I have to say, you are ballin'-est.
 
just put the permit on your dash board covering the VIN number.... if you got a permit and they can see it when they walk up to the car then it should be good.....if it has to be in the back then just tape it to the inside of the rear window with scotch tape.... I would never stick any kind of permit or anything on my car especially on paint.....never touch paint with uncool stickers..... if you really need to stick it on the outside then just put it on the rear window so you can scrap it off without having to worry about scratching anything.....
 
Congrats on getting the FX back on the road.

drove from school to my friends house in clearfield, PA
1 hour was fine, second hour was SNOW. the drive was up 80 west the whole time.
guess who's FX didnt like the snow? me :(
we got there, basically slid the whole time, it was disgusting out. big snowflakes, slush, basically terrib;e driving conditions. the FX didnt like it.

I made it thorugh that, parke dit at his house for the night, then drove it the next day when it was clear and nice out---with ice everywhere. I hate drifting when you dont mean to. but yeah.
MY FX > SNOW

it wasnt the best experience. plus, my FX got DIRTY AS HELL. salt, snow yuck!

so we hung out up there, and today i drove the 5.5 hour trip back home. (made it in 4) clear, sunny skies, snwo metling, no ice on the road, cruised on 80 east for 3 hours, hopped on 287 and i was home. didnt meet nay ice or anythiung. it was an awesome drive....no traffic untill new york AKA 3 hours of awesome cruising.

so i've decided to invest in a set of winter wheels, maybe some 18"stockerz with some beefy winter tires.... so i guess i'll look into that.

anyways,. that was my weekend. yay.
 
what kind of tires do you have on your 20's? instead of another set of wheels maybe a good all season like the yokohama paradas might do the trick if you got crappy tires now...
