E-Ram SUPERCHARGER intake

looking at the site it does kind of make sense...

however, when the fan is ON during WOT, where is it going to pull air from?

under WOT conditions your intake system is already pulling as much air as it can, as fast as it can. Even if you add a "fan", the fact that its after the cone and inside the tubing makes me believe that it won't make a difference.

The restriction is still going to be the intake media (cone) and how much air is available under the hood, in WOT situations...

(but i'm no expert haha, i haven't really modded a car since 2000.)

There are only only 2 ways you an get power out of your engine using air.

1. By condensing the air so you get more oxygen in the same amount of air entering the cylinders.

2. By making the air entering in the engine colder, therefore denser to achieve the same effect as #1.

As long as you have a scape route for the air, you cannot condense it. Therefore it does not work. The only other way would be to make the air coo lerby using some sort of a intercooler. But you will be restricting the air flow since there is no induction.

This is what I was gonna do about $5K ago.

get an intercooler and connect it to the intake, get 2 e-turbo blowers, Y-pipe and filters and connect them so they blow into the intercooler. While searching for the right answers, I found that the air being blown by the e-turbos get hot, and by the time they go though the intercoolder, the air is back to the same temp. So there was no point.

However, I just stumbled upon a product by NOS Express. It's called N-tercooler. It shoots Nitrous on top of the Intercooler to make it freezing cold so when the air goes through it, it would way colder than just a normal intercooler. The kit is about a $400. Intercooler is about $100 and another $100 or so for piping.

You probably going to end up spending a lot of money and seeing very very little HP.

My suggestion. just spend the money get a few good mods. It would probably give you more power than the E-turbo.

If you still want to experiment with this, I have one you can try with. I'll donate it in the name of FX Science.

hey fxotion... ill try urs... but did it work on urs? haha

BROWNfv... u really got one? cuz the red means sarcasm right?

Like I said, I never got that far. I still have it sitting somewhere in my garage.

It does need some modification to make it fit the Stock MAF housing. You are probably looking to spend $15 in connectors. I think you can find everything at Pep boys.

Mine looks just like this (with out the attachments and the filter)

to be fair, that is not the E-ram one.

what if we mounted a leaf blower to the intake! You could even gat a small air compressor and have a control inside the cabine to release air when you want just to make it sound like a blowoff valve. That would be sick!
