every 40 miles or so you will get a light on the dash. That is what happens with mine, I have the tpms in but not registered.

I had previously TSW montage wheels and it would not fit the tpms. So I just left them off. No problems with performance or any kind of sound coming from the car. But you will intermittently get the low tire pressure warning light on the dash but its no big deal.

Now, when I got my iforged i had the same issue with tpms. What we did this time was to drill an extra hole in the wheels near the back to accommodate them. So now I have 2 valve stems but you really can't see the tpms stems unless you are looking for them.

Like so:

I really like this solution and works well.

In my case I drove the new Wheels for a week before I put the TPMS.

I got a like a 3 second warning sound on my FX about every time 20 mins after I start up the FX.

But after I put them in. No prob.

Having a problem getting the bead to set with the sensors in. Being told that they will have to come out becuase they will have to put up to 120 lbs of air and that will kill the sensors. If I don't use the sensors, will it set a check engine code?

No Check engine light - but it will beep at you cuz it thinks you've got a flat.

You can drill another hole into the wheel to set the sensor -- Dr. 2k has done this.

And yes, it will beep every once in a while. Not a big deal.

24's, have pictures?

Chedman is right. I have the oem sensors installed on the inner side of my aftermarket wheels. Works like a charm! I don't use this for adding air in the tires. I have the original ones for that.

Forgot to say thanks. You guys putmy mind at ease. I can take an occasional beep or two. I'll drill the second hole, and use it to fill the tire and set the bead, since the sensors are in the original holes...thank much.

Couldn't he just use a few large industrial size Zip Ties and double sided tape to install them inside the wheel?

I did that for awhile when one of my tpms snapped off and the tape didnt hold, so it was rolling around and banging inside of my rim. So I say no.
