Reverse Display or Sensors?

Man, i'm still trying to get used to my FX, It's a bitch parallel parking. I've been thinking about adding a proximtiy sensor or something like that maybe a camera but where would the viewer be?? I don't know, i've seen the multi-media head units with camera displays but don't think i'll be going down that route, yet. Any add on aftermarket back-ups sensors anyone can recommend? My rear bumper cover is still flawless and i still haven't got the sense of distance down yet. it's weird i swear i have about 1 to 2 feet behind me but when i get out i have like 6 feet??? thanks in advance... :squigglemouth:Brian

i've always been bad with rear sense. i think its because you are used to the front where from the windshield you have around 3-4 more feet, but from rear window its only a foot more. it usually happens to me in SUV's. i know i've seen FX's with the parking sensors over in Saudi Arabia or some place like that. i guess you could get them somehow and integrate them.

i think my rear camera is aftermarket (that or infinitis fit and finish aint too hot) they stuck it up next to the button that opens the rear hatch (not the fob button) and it runs through my navi screen.... and i want to see more pics of the old ford!!!

i'm pretty sure thats how all of the Infiniti's rear cameras work. except some on the new G actually have them in the rear spoiler. the point of its location is so you can see the bumper in relation to where you are, not really to see out the back behind you.

Deecarp has a aftermarket back up cam....maybe he can chime in

Will is correct and I integrated a back up camera with my system. and it does help. I added it to the lower part of the rear bumper which gives me a pretty wide view of what's behind me. I can also use it as my rear view while driving. There are so many cameras out there to make yours less noticeable if you go this route of adding a backup camera to you ride.

the factory grid view is nice, it's pretty acurate to a curb also... the new 09's & the 08 other cars like the g's have a secondary grid type thing that turns & curves with the wheels also... it's also pretty acurate & cool when you learn how to use it

ya while turning the wheel the lines move and tell you where you end up is pretty cool.
