Driver Seat Auto-adjust

Has anyone disabled the auto adjustment on the driver side? How?? i find it kinda irritating and im sure something will quit working soon. Funny story, couple weeks ago i had a birthday cake on my lap, i shut the door then the seat slid forward and the steering wheel smashed down on it, retarded. BB

You can turn off that function on the display screen menu. I have Nav and its under settings. Just make sure you do this while the car is stopped. It wont let you change any settings while the car is rolling (even with the NAV while driving mod).
 
I like that feature too, keep in mind that the intelligent keys will auto recognize each driver's keyfob settings. By disabling, I believe both keyfobs will be off sync.

it only uses the Key fob if you program (holding down unlock while saving seat position .. I think)it to use it for seats. I do not think it will "mess" anything up if you disable the auto seat function.
 
I like this function also as it helps greatly when exiting the vehicle. As such this function can be disabled in the settings menu under 'convenience exit/entry'
 
I disabled all the moving back & forth... the fx has it's issues with seat tracks & it has it's issues with column bushings, I don't want all the extra wear & tear on these unecissarily... especially if it's just so others think it's cool:cool:

I used to have just the column go up & down, but if you start the car too quick then it would sometimes not complete the travel... now I leave it all fixed & I can still get into & out of my fx without all the drama:tongue:

that cake story is hillarious... I once in a while get ito customers cars & the seat tries to kill me by sandwiching me in there... I hate that:smile:
 
I love the auto adjust especially with the key fob because my wife has the seat all the way forward and in my QX4 I had to sit side saddle and adjust the seat back before I could even get in the vehicle.And yes there is the cool factor.:nerd:

I do the same thing (sit side saddle) cause I'm to lazy to take out my key fob.:angel:
