The switch that lowers and raises the drivers seat only works in the raise direction.I tried WD-40 on switch to see if it frees up no luck there. This switch has not worked since I got the car a few months ago.I was wondering if I could overide the switch somewhere and then set the preset for the seat so I'm not always hi riding.

On a side note I am still waiting on my new wheels should be only a couple of weeks now can't wait!

Also my FX is in the body shop getting a new rear bumper someone rear ended me on memorial day weekend. The FX held up real well can't say as much for the jeep cherokee that hit me it's bumper came completly off and was laying on the ground.:iS:

Sorry to hear about the accident. Hope you get your baby back as good as new.
As to the seat switch, be best to take it to the dealer as soon as possible to get it fixed.

Sorry about the bumper man -

As for the seat - I'd take it back to the dealer.......

Wow, sorry about the accident. That is one bad feeling getting hit. I agree with Will and Pierce, back to the dealer.

Sorry about the bumper, at least you're getting a new one

I had a similar problem happen to me, only mine was the passenger seat. It would not recline up or down. Took it in and dealer fixed it under warranty. Definitely have them take a look at it while you still have warranty.

Out of warranty?

Unfortunatly it is an 04 and I don't think it will be covered by the warranty.I have an extended warranty but it is primarily for the powertrain.

As to the bumper I am having the door dings and scratches fixed also so I will be better than before. I'm thinking that a low profile color matched door moulding might be a good thing to install to protect me from all those parking lot door dings.

does anybody roughly know how much it would to change the switches? my jackass friend spilled hot sauce and got in to 2 of the positions, recline, and up and down are sticky and hard to press, is there a way i can clean in there that will loosen it up a bit?

Try WD 40 on the switches I tried it on mine but my switch is free in the up direction and is stuck rock solid keeping it from going in the down direction only so I think mine is a switch issue rather than something that has been spilled on it. I want to know if anyone knows how to overide the switch by jumpering it somehow so I can set the preset for the seat to the lowest position that way I can lower it that way.

Thank for the tips. I used some circuit cleaner on the switches and now all my seat adjustments work. This forum save me a ton of money. Thanks Thanks
