cargo area water protection

hey guys.

my summer job is being a poolboy. accordingly....i need to lug around some stuff in the back of the fx...unfortunately

i have the all-season rubber thing, but what would you guys reccomend i put down over the whole area and stuff. i was thinking of putting down a tarp over everyhing...let me know what you think.

the job is worth it cuz it pays extremely well :wub:

so yeah...doyou think tarp over the area is good enough?
and is there somethign i can buy that sucks up moisture tha ti can stick in the trunk?

before I even got to the bottom of your post, I was already thinking advising a tarp...

go to a moving company and get a 'furniture pad'.... put that over the tarp... itll suck up any moisture that spills and the tarp will stop anything from soaking through to the carpet
... or buy an el camino

i know what an el camino is LOL. i may be young, but i am still very knowledgable. anyways, so a furniture pad will suck up the moisure? what about if i use padding like what you throw down under carpet? or is that different?

Sorry about that I don't know much about the carpet pads but I would use a furniture pad :top:

carpet pads 'might' work but they wont dry like a furni pad and youll constantly be replacing them (furniture pad is what they use to wrap up your expensive furniture on the moving truck... not the cheap foam they put under your carpet) you could even use a bunch of beach towels... target always has deals on the super thick big ones... at least here where the beautiful people live...
and that el camino is too nice and muscley to be a poolboy mobile... its gotta be an early 80s (threadjack cuz its jbaker)

but yeah, thanks for the help...now i gotta find a place to get the pad.....or a million beach towels at target...or how we pronounce is, "tar-jey" cuz that classier. lol my townies are losers

i think everyone calls it tarjay.... the furni pad you should be able to pick up at any uhaul type place.. they vary in price and quality from 15- 100 each... if there is choices the dark blue on one side/ light blue on the other is a good middle one at 30$ a pop...
maybe you can get your new sugarmomma to spring for it...

I dont know how much water or moisture your talking about, but atleast with towels easy to wash and dry. Not so with furniture pads.

just take out all the junk in the back and leave it as bare metal....nothing to get wet that way.
