Huy guys,

Any recomendation on where to get tint in West LA area. I went to a good shop in Santa Monica blvd when I got my FX tinted but they're no longer there.

Dude, use my guy, he is mobile and does an impeccable job... I have used him for years and recommended to many! Not the cheapest around, but it only cost me $85 to do the front two, fully metallic tint, and he does a perfect job. He's the best and he comes to you! His name is Chuy...

Thanks man! I'll give him a call. Do you know what brand he's using. It's going to be for my TSX and I'm kinda worried that metallic film might affect the nav unit (says a guy from a tsx forum) but I figured that the sattellite antenna is on the roof. I don't know but I'll give him a call and let him explain to me if metallic films would affect the navi.

Don't worry about the GPS, but yeah, ask Chuy, he's a really nice guy. The brand he uses is SunTek. The navigation wasn't affected on my FX, my brother's 5-series, my colleague's 3-series, or my boss's 7-series, all have been tinted recently by Chuy. Fully-metallic and semi-metallic are the highest quality tints, it prevents fading/turning purple.

u gotta go to california tint in rosemead. good service and pricing

I went there when I first got my FX and 3 months the driver side started peeling off - So I took it to Whittier Tint Shop instead.

Classic Custom Tint in El Monte is really good and gives lifetime warranty and good prices.

There's a place next to Al & Ed's on La Cienega near Venice Blvd. They did my two fronts for 80, using the 3M ceramic tint.
BTW, Metallics may also hinder radar detectors.
