I've been a proponent of keeping within the 3% difference when changing tires but I might go 22s now and found a deal for 265/35/22 Hankooks at $126 each. That's a drastic change to tires at 285/35/22 starting at $200 and 265/40/22 at $165-170..
The question is, 265/35 comes up to about 3.7% faster compared to stock and supposedly that may cause a brake failure.. How realistic is this? I've seen people running 20s with 265/45 size (3.4% difference. I think Conrad runs them) and recently Rick @ Status sold his 22s with 265/35/22s.. Should I go ahead and do the same? What problems can it cause? Thanks in advance for all help..
